The Prophetess Bola Widows and Orphans Foundation (PBWOF) is a non-profit organisation committed to restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity to widows and orphans, particularly those living in underserved and rural communities across Nigeria.
At the heart of PBWOF is a clear and compassionate goal: to empower disadvantaged widows and orphans both socially and economically, breaking the cycle of poverty and marginalisation they often face. We recognise that many widows are left without support, forced to battle societal stigma, financial insecurity, and emotional trauma—all while raising children who are equally vulnerable.
To achieve this goal, PBWOF has launched several impactful projects designed to meet both immediate and long-term needs. These initiatives include the distribution of essential food items and clothing, small business grants for widows to become self-reliant, educational support for orphans, as well as counselling and advocacy to combat stigma and promote inclusion.
Our work is rooted in empathy and action. By addressing the pressing needs of widows and orphans, we are not only providing relief—we are creating pathways to resilience, independence, and renewed hope.
At PBWOF, we believe every widow deserves to live with dignity, and every orphan deserves the chance to dream. Through our programmes and partnerships, we are building stronger, more compassionate communities—one life at a time.
